You'll hear us say quite often, that "you don't have to believe in order to belong." We understand the importance (from personal experience) of having the space and opportunity to wrestle with both long-held assumptions and nagging doubts, no matter what they are. Without that freedom to wrestle in the midst of a community of grace, it's easy to become spiritually isolated, stagnant or apathetic. So whether you've known Jesus your entire life or you think he's just a pre-modern fairy tale, you're invited to be a part of this community.
What should I expect?
Whether you’ve never been to church, it’s been a while or you’re used to one specific kind, it’s natural to feel a little anxious when trying something new. We don’t want you to be any different with us than you are at work or at home, so feel free to participate however you're comfortable, and please let us know if there's anything we can do to be more hospitable!
What is your worship service like?
We sing some songs, pray, hear about about God's love and grace from the Bible (preview sermons here), take communion together and connect with one another in community. The music varies quite a bit, but we shoot for creative excellence and theological depth, which means we end up singing a wide variety of ancient hymns and modern music. We work hard to express robust spiritual truth in ways that are intelligible to anyone of any background, culture or age.
How should I dress?
However you're comfortable! We're not ones to put on airs, and "Colorado casual" is our typical uniform of the day (though a few of us are known to rock a bow-tie every once in a great while).
